John D. Porcelli, M.D.Board Certified, Pulmonary Medicine A dedicated and hard-working physician, Dr. Porcelli brings extensive pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine expertise to his role at DuPage Medical Group. Dr. Porcelli’s clinical interests include caring for the critically ill, lung cancer, emphysema, sarcoidosis, acute lung injury, adult asthma, adult pulmonary diseases and adult sleep disorders – specifically obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. Dr. Porcelli received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1994. He received his medical degree in 1998 from Rush Medical College in Chicago. In 2001, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He underwent intensive fellowship training in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood from 2001-2004 where he served as Chief Fellow from 2003-2004. Board certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine from both the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) and American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), Dr. Porcelli is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Chicago Thoracic Society, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is affiliated with Central DuPage, Edward, and Good Samaritan hospitals. He maintains an academic appointment at Loyola University Medical Center. Location
